We joined some of our neighbours and opened our garden to the public in aid of a local heart charity. Despite a somewhat challenging weather forecast, the day was warm and sunny until just 40 minutes after the gardens closed, when the heavens opened and we had a torrential downpour. The rain was brief, just a prolonged heavy shower, soon ushered away by the returning sunshine, producing a particularly vivid double rainbow.
