Rosebay Willowherb by shepherdman

Rosebay Willowherb

Another common plant – rosebay willowherb, which grows on more open areas, at the edges of gateways and alongside more open paths. In late summer the plant releases large quantities of fluffy seeds creating a summer blizzard, leaving small downy drifts in sheltered corners. We never get these in our garden, which is surprising since the dogs often transport seeds home.
What a lovely weed!

Beautiful vibrant colour. So often the weeds are as stunning as our cultivated flowers.

The purple and the green just pop. Very pretty and clear!

That color is fabulous - what a gorgeous "weed" - weeds take a bad rap I'm afraid. People need to see what some can be like this one.

Gorgeous. Fav. Will we get to see the seed stage? We don't have them here. So beautiful!
