Metal Lesia by shepherdman

Metal Lesia

Meet Metal Lesia. We have a metal menagerie in our garden, which started with Lesia and Tia’s rescue dog predecessor Breeze. We were browsing in one of those places that specialise in a crafts and what to me is junk, but what to others is no doubt pre-owned retro-artefacts of an artisan nature. At this place this eclectic mix of items were displayed in an old barn, and in a yard area, where we discovered two dogs, one sitting upright, ears alert, and other lying down, more chilled out, with one ear up, and one ear down, and we immediately associated them with Lesia, alert, enthusiastic and investigating everything (she was a much younger dog then!) and Breeze, laid back, chilled out, and with one ear permanently down thanks to scars from a mite infection that she caught while living loose on a racecourse until rescued by the local dog rescue centre. Our metal menagerie grew to include three cats and an owl. Maybe it’s time to revisit the old barn and see if they have a metal Tia. It must have a curly tail and be into mischief.
Cute creation...

Such an expressive face, which is clever when it is made of metal!

"pre-owned retro-artefacts of an artisan nature" - I LOVE this phrase, it should be in a dictionary defining the sort of thing you find and are expected to pay for at yard sales. As to the photo, I love how you focused on the leaf-like ears and the impertinent nose.

I love the way you gave captured the whimsical expression - and your story of how you found your characters.

Your picture is most worthy of your story - or maybe it's the other way around - either way, they both brought a smile. And I do agree with Linda - excellent definition of yard sale items!
