Rusty Owl by shepherdman

Rusty Owl

Meet Rusty the Owl. This was a present from a good friend shortly after we moved into our home, and Rusty now resides on our garden shed. In theory Rusty is able to tell us the direction of the wind, but, like me, he finds smooth movement a bit creaky, and so, as far as Rusty is concerned, we have had an Easterly wind for quite a while. I must apply some oil to lubricate Rusty’s vital parts, and try to get him swinging again. I wonder if it will work for me?
That's gorgeous

It is fun to be surprised by who is the photographer of a picture. And I totally was this time, I feel like this guy some times. Let me know if the oil works. I love seeing the flakes of rust. Wonderful detail. And thanks for the follow.

I love the rust and the light and the details on this vane. If you find an oil that works for your creaky joints, I hope you'll pass it on.

A drop of WD40 should do the trick. It's always good to know which way the wind is blowing. :)

He sure is Rusty and lives up to his name. Most people take him down and replace him I'm so glad that you are letting him live on in all his rust. I do hope you can get his wings moving again.
