My planned walk on Saturday was to the field on the other side of the old barn, not actually a public footpath, but a pleasant grassy and most importantly not muddy, walk. We didn’t account for the large yellow digger busy at work at in the hedgerow, supervised by the local farm manager, excavating the ditch, removing years of detritus from the ditch and depositing it onto the field. The mud, vegetation, and rotting branches may have been tipped onto the field, but the digger had churned up the grass, and since we shouldn’t be using that route anyway, we continued up the far side of the valley to another field with a wide grassy edge. This was also not a public footpath, and I suddenly found myself skulking along, keeping close to the hedge in case the farm manager spotted my trespass from across the fields until I pulled myself together and realised that the light was fading, there were trees and hedgerows between me and the manager, and in any case I suspect that he has more important things to worry about than local dog walkers straying a few hundred yards from the footpath. This field had the bonus of being higher up, and I was able to watch the sun sink below the horizon on a lovely clear evening.
This is a beautiful shot. I love seeing the Sun so clear and sharp just as its sinking below the horizon and the electrical towers add interest to this shot and the sky is a gorgeous color. FAV
Let's hope the guy doesn't post on 365. LOL What a great shot. The sun just lined up between the towers as though they had been put there for that purpose.
