Another shot from the kitchen a few days ago, when I spotted a sunlit queue of birds on and around the birdfeeders in our garden, conveniently located close to the kitchen window. It’s amazing what clutter @shepherdmanswife keeps on the kitchen windowsill – washing up paraphernalia, cat-feeding paraphernalia, and a stone bowl full of photogenic bright orange Chinese lantern pods – obviously there has to be photographic paraphernalia as well. The birds on the higher feeders were above the kitchen clutter, but others risked being framed by an empty chutney jar and a recently washed cat bowl. The solution was to stand precariously on a kitchen chair in order to peer over the window sill. Rest Assured that, although I was about to set off on a dog walk, I hadn’t actually put my walking boots on yet.
