On a farm not far away (which sounds like the beginning of a story) World War II breaks out every September. This is the annual "Victory Show", possibly the biggest World War II themed event in the UK. Despite being entertained every year by WWII aircraft flying over our garden, and hearing the detonations from artillery during the daily re-enactment of a battle, this year I actually went to the show for the first time. This chap was presiding over a U.S. Army encampment, complete with Jeeps from the 1940's. I suspect that for this particular GI the only part of the wartime grumble from the Brits that applies is “Over Here”.
It must be amazing to see in person! For some reason your description appears in my comment thread. I was trying to figure out what you meant re my photo but think it was a cut and paste issue. You'd have laughed at my confusion!
