The local leisure centre is almost a mile away, but we can clearly see it across the fields. A year or so ago the centre was granted planning permission to construct a golf driving range, which, in true NIMBY fashion we weren’t sure about, since it would have included bright lighting at a time when the gradual installation of LED street lights is reducing general light pollution around us (no street lights on our lane!). When the project was completed a couple of weeks ago it had somehow morphed into a competition-standard BMX track. The first regional competition was held there yesterday and so, since one of our regular dog walks passes across the leisure centre field, Tia and I stopped to watch. I am pleased to report that the track is not lit.
I'm not sure how you got from the golf driving range to the BMX track - guess you traded lights for more noise?? But whichever, you sure got a great shot from this - the focus is terrific.
Great action shot and angle, I' d prefer this to the driving range in my neighbourhood. We have a BMX track next town, where they have European Championships competition , though I never took photos there but maybe I should the next time give it try
