A couple of day of high winds has finally stripped most trees bare of leaves, and today those winds have been cold. November finally feels like November. Since the beginning of the month the weather has been unseasonably mild, with many trees still hanging onto most leaves (or should that be the most leaves hanging onto the trees?), although at least the colours have been autumnal. I am at an age when I appreciate a delay in the onset of cold weather, whether I am cycling or dog walking. Today was a day for an extra layer, gloves and I even dug out my scarf to keep out the wind.
