The path down to the village is becoming increasingly muddy, leading to a difficult choice of footwear. Do I wear my walking boots, with the inevitable muddy trousers from ankle to knee, or my well-loved and Hunter wellies, many years old with not much grip left, and the potential for a muddy bottom if my feet slide downhill faster than the rest of me?. Wellies are the usual choice. Tia has no problems with her 4-paw drive, but does suffer from mud-splash. When we get home she trots down to the garden hose and daintily lifts her paw for a gentle hosing, and thanks to her short fur, she is clean is seconds.
I like the light down this muddy track and now have a picture in my head of your dangerous descent (obviously it's a funny one). Lucky Tia with her 4 paws.
I would definitely choose the wellies and be very careful! No twisted ankles for Christmas! Our dogs just used to let the mud dry and it would all fall off! Not allowed inside, of course!
Great lighting on this muddy path.. Like you comments on trying to get down the hill without ending up muddied from foot to bottom! Both our dogs are white.... I'd hate to think what they'd look like after a walk down this incline.... and back up!
