I turned to look back during our riverside walk (well, more of a brook than a river), just to see what Tia was up to, and in particular to check that she wasn't rolling in fox poo while I was looking the other way. Looking back into the sun, I could see mist rising up from the river, and so climbed precariously down the river bank and, since I had opted for wellies instead of walking boots, I stepped into the water to get a shot. No doubt I should have cloned out those wretched power lines, but the lines behind the branches would make it an awfully fiddly task for someone of my limited patience.
Very atmospheric, love the mist. Fav. Regarding the power lines, I will often use the "distort" option, shown here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=diqkmI16_DU
I then stretch the image up to remove the unwanted section, in this case the power lines. You will lose some of the sky though.
Beatufiful! Except for the power lines, it reminds me of an old painting. I appreciate that one can hardly take a photo anymore that doesn't have a light pole or power lines in it! The ones in this photo are not distracting at all because my focus is much below them, along the leading shore lines.
Lovely shot with a lot of atmosphere. I hadn't noticed the power lines until I read you comment, they are annoying and sometimes hard to remove but that is what the countryside is and you have captured it as it is.
