A late afternoon walk with family in Bradgate Park, a deer park just a few miles away, familiar to many in the English Midlands. Unlike me, @shepherdsmanswife has yet to train the extended family, who still see such excursions as a “walk”, rather than a photographic expedition. In consequence, whereas I wait patiently while the scenery is captured, the rest of the family keep walking, breasting the brow of the next hill in front of us while we try to catch up. To be honest, we didn’t try too hard to keep up – we just enjoyed each other’s company.
I totally understand!! When I go walking with any of my family I have to constantly "catch up"! I tend to go on my "photo shoots" alone so that no one gets "bored" or tries to hurry me along.
Beautiful shot above, by the way. Love silhouettes!
Love the silhouette, especially of that expressive tree on the left.
Only those who photograph themselves, understand the sometimes peculiar and strange behavior of a photographer. That's probably one of the reasons photography is often a lonely business.
