Te Aroha tree by shepherdman

Te Aroha tree

The lone Te Aroha tree, Cape Reinga, New Zealand North Island, where, according to Maori legend, the souls of the dead begin their voyage to the underworld.@shepherdmanswife wanted visit the Cape to see the Tasman Sea and Pacific Ocean meet in a maelstrom of waves and whirlpools, and where the spirits of the Maori pause on their journey to the afterlife. Well, it was certainly a tad choppy, but maelstrom of waves and whirlpools was a slight exaggeration.
Beautiful colors.

Oh my goodness, how is that tree managing to cling to that rock? It must be a tenacious tree. Great photo.

Great use of the tree, maybe the two twig things could be cloned out, I think it would make a difference as once you've spotted them they won't go away.
