St Catherine's church, Burbage. It was distinctly Autumnal today, with a cool wind and a damp feel as we started a walk across Burbage Common, looking across stubble to the church in Burbage village. We strolled through the woods and along the field edges before walking under the bridge that carries the Birmingham-Leicester railway, heading for the visitor centre on the far side of the Common. The sun emerged, hot on our backs, and in an instant Summer had returned, and thankfully remained as we enjoyed a pot of tea and Irish fruit bread outside the Common visitor centre.
