Something Old Something New

We took the dogs for a walk in fields 2 or 3 miles away close to where we lived 15 years ago. Its been a while since we walked this path - the old barn is looking the worse for wear, and a turbine has appeared. A few minutes after this shot found me on my tummy amid stinging netttles on the muddy bank of a ditch. @shepherdmanswife insists on taking balls to keep the two younger dogs entertained. We had forgotten about this ditch. The puppies investigated, dropped their respective balls into muddy water, one prompty sinking and the other gently floating away. Hence my instruction from She-Who-Must-Be-Obeyed to commence a rescue operation. It was successful, but my T-shirt may never be the same again.
Love the contrast

Lovely shot - those turbines get everywhere - in another year or two the trees will hide it from view

I like the seasoned look of the barn. I find the wind turbines are not as ugly in a photo as electric lines strong across a scene. Your title allows for both.

Well seen. The open gate is a plus
