Old Market Hall, Chipping Campden by shepherdman

Old Market Hall, Chipping Campden

Built in 1627 for townsfolk to trade local goods. Impressive because of its history, and because, as we passed through it, I could almost smell the ale at the pub, just a short distance away, that was the half-way point of our Cotswolds walk last week.
Love those arches and repeating patterns in this.

You were visiting at a good time. The sunlight has made the Cotswold stone appear even more golden. Great lines and atmosphere.
