My mate suggested a walk from his home to the local canal-side Navigation Inn. "Only half-an-hour away" he said. 75 hot minutes later we arrived, and we still had a 75 minute walk back. After a pub lunch, washed down with a couple of pints of Navigation Ale, the return trip didnt seem quite so onerous.
