Many of our dog walking routes are flooded, and during this morning's walk along a higher level route around the quarry edge we met a lot of dog walkers who we normally come across on the fields behind our home, all avoiding the waters. The talk was all of wellies. These were the first floods of the season, when you remember that you meant to replace those old leaky wellies before the end of summer.
