A very wet Autumn, but we have only "nuisance flooding" around us, nothing like the levels inundating homes elsewhere in the country. This boardwalk normally keeps walkers above damp ground, but at the moment it more like a bridge over muddy waters. At the end of the boardwalk the water flowed along the path towards us, too deep even for wellies, and so we climbed the adjacent grassy embankment to a higher level path.
