Rocky Outcrop by shepherdman

Rocky Outcrop

These rocks at the top of one of the quarry roads were placed on the "New Hill" that hugs the quarry edge, with the intention of resembling a natural rock outcrop. They have since become "naturalised" as wild grasses and plants have become established around them, but still don't look natural. I like this spot though, with its views for miles in all directions.
What a beautiful sky. The silhouette of the gate really adds to it.

Agree, not natural, but they have a megalithic look. An atmospheric shot.

Makes me think of an old installation like Stonehenge.
