Sam among heather on Baildon Moor in Yorkshire. Oddly the heather was at different stages on different moors that we visited - just starting to bloom, in full bloom, or "going over" having finished blooming. I suspect that it depended on how dry the ground was.
A lovely shot of both hound and heather - fav! Even quite small differences in slope, light and shade can affect the rate of flowering of the heather, and there are also different types that flower at different times.
