Umbrellas? Winter coats? People walking?? Am I in LA?
About seven months into my stay here, I think the honeymoon period is over. The crappy weather and horrible traffic as of late have not helped. Today I drove downtown with a fellow associate for a meeting and we talked about LA: the sprawl, the disconnectedness. He associates NYC, where he went to school, with friends, a sense of community, and good times. I guess at this point, I don't feel that way about either city, or any physical place really. As I walked to my car in the NYC-like downpour and braced myself for rainy-day LA traffic, I wondered where I belong.
