We went walking at dusk to get a sunset photo, but we were facing the wrong way. We did get some pink over San Francisco which was south east of us. The left has the Bay Bridge. Next to that is Coit tower. Most people don’t know that as you walk down from Coit Tower toward Fishermans’ Wharf you are on Parrot Hill. It is believed that at sometime a cargo boat lost a crate of parrots. They took up residence on the hill and thrived. Walking down the hill which meanders through residential backyards there are many parrots, a highly unusual sight in the Western US.
