@happypat it's a seed from a milkweed plant that I found at the end of my backyard...they're so dainty :)

It looks great. You can almost feel the energy within that seed & it looks really good against the blue.
November 15th, 2011
Very cool... and that van in your driveway? Just put on the jacket and climb in the back. Everything will be alright......
November 15th, 2011
Great capture and processing!
November 15th, 2011
@shutterbugger ahha same, i'll not be able to afford a macro lens for a looong time i think! :P so you literally put the lens on the camera backwards? i've never heart of that, what a brilliant idea, i'm guessing you need some kind of converter for that?
November 15th, 2011
@izzymathie Here's a link for ya... http://www.amazon.com/Fotodiox-Filter-Thread-Reverse-Adapter/dp/B001G4NBSC
I love it and it's soooo cheap but I'd much rather have a proper lens....which is sooooo not cheap lol
November 15th, 2011
Gorgeous wispy wisp!
November 15th, 2011
that's different, but very well done!
November 16th, 2011
Very cool.
November 16th, 2011
Brilliant macro, and nice poem too.
Since you're my photography guru what the heck is RAW?
I only had jpeg options previously, now I find RAW is my best setting, although my camera guide tells me I'll need software to process it because my computer won't recognise it!??
November 16th, 2011
Oh wow! that sure made for a fun and interesting photo!!! looks really neat and i adore your sweet lil poem :D
November 16th, 2011
I'm your guru?! I feel so important! I think that's a bit of blind leading the blind....lets just say we're learning together.
Watch this.... http://www.youtube.com/user/JaredPolin#p/search/5/dXc8KvqfBBE
..keep watching passed the stupid beginning, the rest makes sense. I subscribe to his channel. Good info dumbed down, which is what I need :)
Does your camera have a raw+jpeg setting? I think that takes one of each. I'm going to have to try raw now.
You should get the free trial of Lightroom (if you don't already have it) I love it.

@shutterbugger yey, he's very good. He makes it sound like RAW is much better as an option. I can fit a third of the files on my camera so if the pics are two third bigger it's gonna fill up my hard drives faster.
November 17th, 2011
@shutterbugger well I shot some RAW and got to my computer and it didn't want to know, they didn't show up on my downloading software. At least I know now, I own photoshop and a few other bits so I doubt I'll shell out for anything else. That's me resigned to jpegs after all that.
November 17th, 2011
@chewyteeth it wouldn't upload? I thought photoshop could do that? I'm still going to try it. Did you look to see if your cam has raw+jpeg setting? Nothing wrong with jpeg, but now I need to know what the difference is when editing.

Wonderful whimsical shot
