Rougemont Castle - Exeter Castle

This castle was built in 1068 following Williams siege of the city.

in 1685 the castle was the site of the trial of Temperance Lloyd, Susannah Edwards, Mary Trembles and Alice Molland they were found guilty of "witchcraft" and executed at Heavitree. They were the last people in England executed for the crime of witchcraft.
