@maggiemae@nanderson@pennystot thanks for feedback, if you take a look at 9th June you will see a different view of the same bridge. On 9th if the photo were to extend to the right we would see the upright (bridge leg/support) this photo is of the top of the leg, so the circular patterns are the top right and left of two of the arches. Hope that puts thing into perspective. As for structural impact I do not know, I do know that circles and triangles are used extensively because of there ability to disperse load and are stronger than straight vertical and horizontal structures. The bridge is restricted to lighter vehicles; lorries and buses are not able to use, width restriction at each end.
