I've noticed it when I shoot at church. The singers will often look directly at me. Volunteers get nervous and often turn away!

Of course they do - self conscious is the word unless you are a natural actor - or showoff and who wants to be thought that! Fun photo!

Yes, many do. :-) They get very self-conscious. But observing photographers in action, that’s a special treat, all in itself… :-)
