New arrivals

Three.. of the four blackbird eggs have hatched ,so far.they are only a few days old .( I put a picture of the eggs in the nest last week) Have only looked once more , when I took this picture , I waited until I saw their mum fly off. To eat some more of our cherries?........I value my garden more for being full of blackbirds than of cherries, and very frankly give them fruit for their songs...Joseph Addison.
ha - what ugly little babies - I bet their mum thinks they're beautiful though!

Ahh, and ugh, poor little things, they'll look better with a few feathers on, think their eggs are prettier!! wonder if you'll be able to follow them as they grow up and give them names like, Ben, Barny, Bert and Bill?

Ugly in a beautiful way though if you think about it...It is just so amazing how life comes to be in the animal world, isn't it! And then there is the whole survival of the fittest thing...
