oh I wish you could send some of them in the post to me - they look yummy and I haven't got any here. If you have any green ones left at the end, I've got a great green tomato chutney recipe - I made it last year and we've just finished the last jar - it was way better than branston pickle! Even better than a certain prize-winning recurrant chutney that I can't mention!
Someone let slip that you just celebrated a birthday! Well, fellow Leo, we can't let that go by without a rousing **Happy Birthday To You**!!! I hope it was as exceptional as your picture! What a wonderful crop! Of course I'm hugely jealous! Enjoy them for all of us you tempted with that picture!
Im with Helen- when I see tomatoes in the supermarket here I crave fresh sunripened tomatoes that taste like tomatoes! I can almost taste them through your lens :)
they are superb...red and perfect. I eat tomatoes like apples and I also loved stewed tomaoes...don't know if it's a Mum recipie but it's just chopped tomatoes, diced onion and a little salt cooked in a a frying pan until the tomatoes stew down and thicken a little with cornflour if needed - yummo!!!
