Spot the squirrel . by snowy

Spot the squirrel .

This old oak tree is a favourite place for the squirrels to chase round in and out of the holes in the trunk. I was watching them from the kitchen window ,whilst I was having my coffee . Hope you can see the squirrel it is just above the hole at the bottom of the the trunk.
I see him! Cool capture

What a wonderful old tree. These old oak trees support such an enormous amount of wildlife....includinig squirrels of course! Great view! Thought of you yesterday...we were up at the Festival Hall yesterday and in one of the shops was a large amount of souvenirs from the new Tintin film.....so many types of Snowys :-) I do hope you and Snowy get some in your Christmas stocking!

@Cherrill Sad to tell you Snowy has gone to a new home. A nearby farmer said they were pleased to have him as their 16 yr.Jack Russell had died . We felt it was difficult to keep him due to my ongoing knee problems etc.. It was a hard decision to make and we really miss him. But we can visit him any time, I rang up today to see if he was settling in and they said he was fine and had caught a rabbit, so it sounds like he is having fun.

Fabulous tree and I can spot that squirrel! Sounds like a good compromise with Snowy - still close enough to visit but without the jumping up problems. He must be full of himself actually catching a rabbit and that will keep the farmer happy!!

Yes I can see him ! The funny thing about squirrels is that i always understood them to be a hibernating animal but nowadays they seem to be about all winter raiding our bird tables! Perhaps there is no need now for them to hide their nuts for the winter when there is a constant food supply !
