Rickards.

This is a shot of the interior of the "famous" old fashioned ironmongers in Ludlow, where you can still buy anything from angle brackets to an Aga- literally! Rickards was started in 1864 and has been in the same family for 140 yrs. Today I went in to buy some muffin cases and some pot hooks.
Good shot mum! I like all those brown boxes, what a great shop! must go there next time.

lovely browsing shop Diana ..a shop that sells every thing & we have one exactly the same in our village !!! Will show you one day except the isles are so close together you can't get far enough back for a good photo !! Muffin cases & pot hooks... sounds like you are going to be cooking & hanging ! I have just watched Masterchef result, outstanding cooks this year

Oh it's straight out of The Two Ronnies 'Fork 'andles' sketch!! Actually there was one just like this near my grandad's house - always a queue so I got to stare in wonder and it had a very distinctive smell which has come straight back to me!!

Looking back and catching up! As Judith says this is straight out of the 2 ronnies sketch! We also have a shop like this in the nearby village but not with all these old drawers! A real part of old England!
