They both are wonderful. This one offers a broader sweep to the horizon and sky while still having that great gnarly tree as the focal point. I think I agree with your husband but it is a difficult choice. I'll fav this one too!

I guess it depends on what is more appealing to the viewer... here you can have a better view of the animal in the background, but on the other one the portrait choice makes the silhoette of the tree breathtaking. I prefer the other one, but I love this one well, so I am faving it too.

Sorry- I don't care for this one at all, the best part of the tree is missing. I've gone back & faved the !st one( some how I missed it before)

Both fabulous but I think I prefer this one because you can see more of the overall scene and the animals in the foreground, but both are terrific and both are Faves in my opinion!

It's lovely too but I think you were right - the other photo shows more of the gnarly branches of the tree, which I think is why it's so appealing.

I like the other one better, but this one is great too!! I used it for my wallpaper for a couple of days on my computer.

They are both gorgeous & you know the other went down really well but personally I like this one...but then I would wouldn't I , it has cows on it !!!

@happypat Thank you for your comment Pat, if you look close you will see the other pic. had cows around the tree.

I think this is lovely, Diana. He did good. :0)

It's a tough choice, but I like this one just a little more.

Hard to decide between two beautiful photos like this. When my husband selects his favorite photo, he's usually right. Both of yours have the beautiful silhouette . . and are gorgeous pastoral compositions. You can't lose either way. :)

Hmmm - I like the off-centre tree and it is gorgeous but I like your first choice - that tree is absolutely stunning in all its glory.

I love this one .... your eye is drawn into the depth of the scene because of the asymmetrical arrangement. It is just beautiful.

Oh like this one too - can't decide - v. dramatic.

I love them both--the one on the 17th shows off the branches more but this one has a really nice composition.

Sorry Dad, got to agree with Mum on this one - I like the other one better!

Beautiful! I love the sharpness you were able to capture between the tree and the sky.
