Horseshoe Weir. by snowy

Horseshoe Weir.

I took this photo leaning over the Forge bridge, which spans the river Teme at Downton near Ludlow. The weir was built in 1772 by Richard Knight as part of his development of Downton castle and estate. The weir feeds the mill race.
Looks a fair drop, it gives me vertigo to look at it!
