Those kind of shops are called Dollar Stores here and from what I read they`re striving. it started out with Dime and Dollar Stores and now some of the prices are 1, 2 and 3 dollars, but still cheaper than in other stores. great picture of his wares hanging outside.

There is a shop like this in Bedford and also in Biggleswade. You can buy almost anything in these shops. Great shot
