That's a dance, by the way :) This was a company party in the early 1980s, at the Royal York Hotel in Toronto. Most of my photos from the party are a bit blurry (there was a free bar, and I still imbibed at the time) but this one is caused mostly by the movement of the dancers. The company I worked for didn't have a Christmas party, but a big January party to break up the winter blues. Any female staff who wanted to were allowed to go home early to get ready, and then taxis were laid on to pick us up and take us back downtown. At the end of the night taxis were laid on (paid by the company) for everyone, men too, so nobody had to drive after drinking. It was a good deal.
