When I lived in Peterborough, I knew a guy who was also a Pilot and he took some of us up in a little airplane from the Peterborough airport for spin around the area. I of course took my Canon FTb along and took loads of photos. He kept saying "Hope you aren't scared" and I kept asking him to dip the wing a bit so I could get a better angle ;) The year was 1974.
