Amorphophallus Titanum (worlds largest flower)

This flowers every 7-10 years for 1 day only. We were lucky enough to see and smell it today. Nice to look at but smells of dead horse.
I did a flower shot......another first.

@neakwagener not as bad as they said however it was supposed to be much more pungent last night. I wouldn't want it in my house!

It looks like something from the Little Shop of Horrors :-) How big was it? You don't need a macro lens with that :-)

@bec2702 @allisonraposa Thanks for your comments. It was hard to get the scale of it in the photo as we were on different levels. I would say it was about 6 -7 foot tall.

fav! for being so brave as to go near such a smelly thing! What an amazing looking flower! I have only seen it on TV before this! I think you photographed it pretty well, actually!
