@stillcrappysailor No problem - it is really interesting to see and a great idea. Not sure I agree with it as a commercial. Some fascinating responses to that film.
Thank you as ever for your comments and taking the time to respond to my stuff. I really do appreciate it.
@spanner - agreed, as a commercial, its garbage. Totally sending the wrong message. The camera is an interesting idea, and of course, Capa, how can you not marvel at his work. I get nervous looking at it.
Love that because capa was the subject of my college essay during my final year in photography , thanks to a gorgeous friend I own an original copy of Life magazine the copy with the 6 images Robert Capa captured during the D Day landings of 1944 capa is my idol in photography fav
Recognised it instantly. I only read about the furore behind his version a few weeks ago, actually! Fabulously done, Spanner. FAV :-)
I propose this is a staged scene though! If you look at the line of the shadows, they clearly don't converge at the right angles for the light to have come from the Sun. If you look in the visor, you can see a reflection of a stage hand in the shadows and a flag wouldn't flap like that in zero gravity! Oh, wrong conspiracy! ;-)
Funny, I was looking at his stuff recently. And its always stunning to see. Side note: http://vimeo.com/65571903
Don't mean to spam your photo, but its Capa related, though its a bit wrong on many levels. Thought you might enjoy it.
