@jocasta thank you very much. I am really happy with this shot and have to admit I thought it would be a little more popular. Of course it is great to get any response so I am not complaining.
I really like the super wide. To be honest I love he whole lensbaby system. So far I have found you have to be really close to your subject, distortion is part of the joy of this lens. Don't bend it too much as you can see t around the edges and be prepared to get into all sorts of shapes to get a shot with it.
Thank you for your continued support. I look forward to seeing what you produce.
@nicholas thanks James. This is not zoom blur, it is done with a lensbaby and a super wide optic. All the blur and distortion is produced by the lens. Thank you for having a look and commenting.
@spanner Thanks for all that information - I think that people are slowly getting used to the selective focussing of the lensbaby and growing to like it. It's a fantastic photo - worthy of any art gallery wall.
the wonderful abstract nature of this is bolstered by the apparent overexposure and the pushing of the concept of focus and subject to a greater extreme than usual. the singular nature of the figure (and fact that it seems to be carrying something, almost like a briefcase) coupled with the that richly symbolic structural geometry makes this feel very personally relevant.

makes me think of hitman starting a job for some reason, has an almost graphic novel feel to it
