Monteriggioni is a little medieval castle built on the top of a hill at north of Siena. The place is wonderful, and for many people is famous due to the video game Assassin Creed.
On the route to Porto Ercole we always stop in Monteriggioni. It's a natural break during the trip to have a pleasant rest. We usually have lunch or dinner into one of the restaurants around the main square.
This time we went here on purpose from Porto Ercole for a re-enactment event lasted for all the weekend.
There were many actors, dancers and sellers. In every road and square there was something to see.
