The visit

Sian had long been looking forward to a return visit from a friend from Singapore who had studied at the same University as her. However the twin concerns of the coronavirus and stormy weather in the UK had not been anticipated. Sian's friend was welcomed by Storm Ciara and waved farewell by Storm Dennis. In the end most of her visit was as planned. She was just had to abandon a day trip to the coast. I consoled her by saying that generally only dog walkers and storm chasers went to beaches in the winter!
