As we were passing this normally deep pool in our home town, I was confident that the pool would not have evaporated in the recent very hot weather! That proved to be true. However I was pleasantly surprised to find a good selection of wild flowers (mainly pink in colour) on the near bank....which was as far as I was going to walk today.

@bruni Thank you. I actually prefer many wild flowers to cultivated plants because they are often more delicate and less brash. However I am particularly fond, and therefore more knowledgable about Spring flowers, so I am rather ashamed to say I do not know their name(s) - there were more than one different plant in bloom.
