Over the summer i have been on something of a crusade to reduce the heat build up in our house during heatwaves. My latest wheeze was to apply a window film to the landing window. This involved my husband bringing back his skills for applying vinyl to surfaces (had been mainly to the sides of commercial vehicles). The main challenge was to move furniture so that he could get near enough to the window to complete the job. The only mistake we made was when came to put the furniture back at the end! Here the film is being measured for cutting on his old pasting table in the garden.
