Turkey Vulture

This bird has a wingspan of about 6+ ft. He grabbed a squirrel and took-off with it.

Red tailed hawk perhaps? They love to snatch squirrels!! Great capture.

@stcyr1up Wonder what it was.?? From the photo you can't tell but I see you mentioned 6 ft. wing span. We have nothing like that around here, thank heavens....I'd be worried about Daisy ;-))

@cimes1 This bird is a scavenger (only dead stuff ) It's called a 'Turkey Vulture' here in S. Fl.

@stcyr1up OK,we have those, too and they munch on carrion. The fearless mockingbirds chase them all the time.
