Maybe this is an impolite question, but are all your subjects alive when you take their pictures?

@bette Yes, some are more biddable than others. These flat ones (geometridae) are trickier and often fly off. Patience is a virtue I believe. Sometimes (like this one) they fly off and land on something unexpected that enhances their beauty.

@steveandkerry Also when they die they have an unnatural posture and their legs tuck in which isn't as attractive.
