So my new toy arrived a couple of days ago, the Fujifilm X20, but I haven't had time to get a memory card for it, so I've been getting used to how it works, and trying to make it do a little bit moe than your average point and shoot. It's lovely, and although being a very different beast to my SLR I think I am going to enjoy using it.
@maggiemae Maggie, this is a digital 'point and shoot' compact, essentially. It has been built into the current Fuji X range of cameras, based on the old rangefinder analogue film cameras, but they are actually digital cameras. The SLR is still way better, but I will be travelling a lot with work over the summer and don't want to carry it around with me. With this I can travel with it, it still has many good functions such as a wide iris (f2) as well as being quite compact and very nice to look at :)
@endrem Yes I saw you were using the NEX...the smaller cameras are getting more powerful, but I won't swap my 7D for the one above...i'm hoping they can 'work together' for me :)
@jsw0109 Yes Jeff, it's part of the digital Fuji Finepix X range. It's lovely. I think it's got more appeal from a looks point of view, it doesn't compare to my 7D but I am reluctant to travel to much with that over the next few months. This is my new travel companion. I had on it all day at work today so it's great.
