Not bad viewed large, on black if you have time :)
I bought some flowers for Stacey to try and cheer her up. Today is the 9 year anniversary of her mum passing away.
She came over very hesitantly as she still finds it hard to get through the day...I suppose time doesn't heal all wounds. She has dealt with her mum's passing but still finds the actual day very hard.
She has never spent the day with anyone other her dad, sister or brother so it was a first to share the evening with me. So I thought that a curry from the supermarket, some fruit cider, a bottle of wine and some very nice chocolate for dessert would at least take her mind off it all and for a while, I think it did.
I think she does great with it even though she thinks she should be much better with it all.
Suffice to say if I lost my folks tomorrow I'd be in bits, for a long time.
So despite the greyness, I think these little beauties brightened it up a bit.
Beautiful flowers, I'm sure the thoughtful evening you planned and these tulips made Stacey feel comforted and cared for. The anniversary will always be hard, my first husband died at 33 in 1985. I still find the anniversary day hard and just want to be alone, so Stacey is doing just fine, she is fortunate to have such a caring boyfriend.
I am sure the flowers helped a great deal along with your caring and compassion. Tulips are my favorite spring flower. Would rather have a bouquet of these beautiful tulips then a dozen roses! Love the soft effect and composition.
@eyesmile Thank Gena. Stacey's favourites are both tulips and roses. But I always think that roses, red ones at least, have a more romantic quality. These are just for the positive vibes so they are the clear winner :)
time heals but sometimes at different pace for everyone
I once read:
'Time heals all wounds. So give Time, time.'
:)
Apologies for the mass thank you but i'm only online for a bit - very very kind words. I'm happy with this pic, she likes it too, and the flowers themselves did make all the difference to her on the day.
