Day 239, Year 2 - Last-Minute, Late-Night In Cardiff

So after a long day working on the England v India One Day International cricket match and going off into Cardiff afterwards with colleagues for food, I needed to get a shot for the day.

This was taken just outside the hotel and isn't a shot of anything really except the night lights in the background using the camera's f2 lens.
a super fav

stunning ! I'm considering changing my x10 to an X100s. Are you OK with it ?

@exouistitis Lionel. First, thank you :)
Second, if you can afford it go for it!!
Stunning camera. You'll lose the zoom but, you gain a wonderful lens, clarity, f2 is just lovely at close range, awesome Fuji colour, and a sturdy camera. If you can happily lose your zoom (which I did when I sold my X20 to just keep the X100) then go for it. It's a lovely camera so the x100S will be awesome ;)
Hope that helps.
Check out Steve Huff reviews, DP reviews and do some research but I don't know anyone who isn't unhappy. If you can go a little further get one with interchangeable lenses then you'll be living (my) the dream :)

@stevecameras thanks a lot for your answer !! just one question : is the x100 lens wider than the x20 ? In the reviews they say 35mm (equivalent film) for the x100, and it's written 28 mm on my x10. But I wonder if 28 mm is in fact 43 mm (film x1,5), so the 35 mm of the x100 would be wider at 23mm ....

@exouistitis
I think the '35mm equivalent' of your X10 is 28-112mm.
The X100 in '35mm equivalent' is on fact 35mm.
So wide, but not as much as the X10, and sometimes not wide enough. But, you move back, or indeed move in to your subject given it's fixed focal length. You are compromising so do bear it in mind but between the X20 and the X100 when I had both...the X100 wins. It's a wonderful camera. I still have my 7D with a 17-50mm zoom on too. If you can't live without the zoom how about the new release of the X30? It's not quite in the shops yet but it looks lovely. I think the same zoom range as the X10 but I'm sure it would be a very good jump from the X10. If you're keen to upgrade but can't lose the zoom I'd look at the other X-models too as I said before. Lovely Fuji sensor with lovely glass. There is an X-E1 body in the WEX showroom in Norwich for about £260. I saw it yesterday while home visiting family. Bargain. Even though it's been superseded, that is a great price. And you then have the choice to put different glass on it with lovely Fuji primes or the zoom. Your choice is depending on your price and what you want/need from the camera. I would still say the X100S would be a fantastic upgrade despite the slight compromise on zoom etc. Hope that helps. And please let me know how you get on :)
WEX is www.warehouseexpress.com by the way. Great store. Other stores are available ;)
