This is a shot from many weeks ago - I am very delayed in some of my editing and uploading - of a busker in Covent Garden in London, after a day spent rigging for the BAFTA Film Awards at the Royal Opera House. I had recently come back from the Middle East where it was all about high contrast, saturated colours and tall buildings, and I think I felt conscious that I wanted to take some different pictures again.
I considered shots of inside the Opera House but I did it last year so I ended up looking for something on the way to my hotel after I had finished work that evening. Being a Saturday night in London there were people everywhere but this guy, who had a great voice, and was singing Cat Stevens songs (hence the title) caught my eye.
3 good things:
1 - A nice and dry rig for the BAFTAs
2 - Only having to walk half a mile to my hotel at the end of a long day
3 - The buzz in Covent Garden and central London on the way to my hotel
