This picture show's the geometric staircase at St Paul's in London while I was there working on the Afghanistan Memorial Service. I had a lot of spare time during this rehearsal day to wander round the cathedral and I hadn't seen this staircase before. I had my camera on me and spent about 20 minutes wandering up and down taking photographs. It was a bit like something from a Harry Potter movie.
An alternative shot from the day taken at the top of St. Paul's after the sun had gone down can be seen here:
1 - Great start to the day by walking across the Thames river to St. Paul's from London Bridge, via Borough Market and the Monmouth coffee house
2 - A fun rig and rehearsal day at St. Paul's with freelance colleagues
3 - A great nighttime view across London from the very top of St Paul's
